1. Teen support group

Work in groups. Prepare some ideas for a teen support group in your school:

• study skills group
• life skills group
• social skills group
• emotion control skills group
• career planning group

Choose one idea and think about how to set up the support group, focussing on the following questions:

• What is the name of the support group?
• How is the group organised?
• How does it help teens?

Present your group’s ideas to the rest of the class. Get their feedback.

Teen support group

Hello everyone.

Today, I am very happy to be behalf of our group to present about my team project about a teen support group in our school. My team want to build the group to help students to improve their social skills. The team has about 10-15 people and we divided into two small one. Half of them will be responsible for organizing events such as meetings, workshop… They will make a general plan including creating a format and preparing the most appropriate environment that can make students participate enthusiastically. The rest will help students to build bonds with group members through support activities. They will create activities requiring teamwork of all members. We will focus on facilitating a tangible experience for students about society and communication.
